Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the charcuterie board and cutting board?
Our products are distinguished between these two boards. We encourage buyers who are searching for a board that can withstand multiple knife marks, over a long period of time, with minimal scarring; to buy a Cutting board over Charcuterie.
-You can still use knives on a Charcuterie board, but for daily cutting use, it will scar more quickly-
This is mainly driven by the hardness of the wood species and the grain orientation.
All of our Cutting boards are end-grain. All of our Charcuterie boards are face-grain.

Why do you use Tung oil instead of mineral oil/wax to finish charcuterie/cutting boards?
Tung oil is Naural. It dries, hardens the surface and provides better water resistance.
See our Tung Oil Difference page for a deeper dive into why we choose Tung Oil over other products.
